Silliman Parade 2018

In conclusion to the 117th Silliman Founder’s Day celebration, the Silliman Parade 2018 gave pride to every student, staff, alumni and even parents. Held last August 27, 2018 afternoon around 2:30 pm, the streets of Dumaguete City were filled with cheers and Silliman pride.

Silliman University is known all throughout Negros Oriental, Philippines, and the world. Being the first ever Protestant school in the country, Silliman University beams a great legacy of religious practices and quality education. Who knew that a small classroom with no less than 50 students could be the start of a great institute that is rooted in the heart and mind of Dumaguete City. The 117th Silliman Founder’s Day celebration is just a right way in commemorating the importance of education.

Silliman Parade 2018

Different school marching bands in Dumaguete City participated in the Silliman Parade 2018. Streets were flooded with the beating of the drums and colorful band uniforms. Alumni from the different departments of the university rode in creatively designed trucks, cars, and even motorbikes.
