President Duterte to attend Buglasan Festival Opening
According to Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has confirmed his arrival for the opening celebration of Buglasan Festival 2017 which will be celebrated on October 13.
Buglasan Festival 2017 Opening Salvo
The opening salvo or ceremonies is said to be graced by the guest of honor, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. Along with his arrival, Senator Cynthia Villar and Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo will be expected to attend the grand celebration. Other honored guests, Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, were given the warmest welcome to join in the festivity.
Security and Safety
Meanwhile, to assure the security and safety of the celebration, Negros Oriental police Provincial Officer Director Senior Supt. Edwin Portento has confirmed that the regional command will be giving the extra police personnel needed for the grand opening. The security will be given not only during the opening, but for all the other events of the said celebration.
Distribution of police and security personnel will be given accordingly as mentioned by the security heads. Police Regional Officer-7 Director Chief Supt. Jose Mario Espino said that it should be a 50-50 or 1:1 ratio for security personnel/ police officers and over-all population.
