Safe Kids Week in Dumaguete City
The whole Philippine nation celebrated the Safe Kids Week with the concluding event of Children’s Game 2018 at Quezon Park last week. Different sporting games and traditional games were played during the said event.
National Safe Kids Week 2018
The third week of June was declared under Proclamation No. 1307 s. 2007 as National Safe Kids Day. This celebration is to simply remind every Filipino to the safety of every child around them. During this month-long celebration, all Filipinos are encouraged to learn the proper way of providing a child with the care and treatment a child must have for safety.
Children’s Games in Dumaguete City
Inclined to the celebration of the Safe Kids Week, the Culmination of the Children’s Game in Dumaguete City was held a week ago on June 15 – 16, 2018. The Children’s Game 2018 was quoted with a theme “Sports for Peace”. Whether related to the actual Safe Kids Week or just a coincidence, the event was still successful.
The two-day event was joined by hundreds of kids (9-12 years old) from the different barangays of Dumaguete City joined the first day of the Children’s Games sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission in partnership with the city government headed by Mayor Felipe Antonio “Ipe” Remollo held at the Manuel L. Quezon Memorial Park.
