Buglasan Lutong Garbo

Winners for this year’s Buglasan Lutong Garbo were announced and the entries of Tanjay City and the Municipality of Pamplona won in the desserts category and drinks category, respectively.  With the theme “Discovering, Developing and Promoting Negros Oriental Culinary Heritage”, the food fest featured ingredients grown in the locality and used in the preparation of healthy desserts and drinks.

The Rootcrops-Buco Mucho, the winning entry of Cheryle Rosales in the desserts category, utilized a mix of root crops, coconut milk and eggs in a caramel, earning her a cash prize and a trophy.  Kamias Cooler was the winning entry of Carlito Calda which earned him a cash prize.  The board of judges of the food competition is composed of a culinary expert from a local bistro, an instructor of Home Economics and another instructor from a culinary arts school.
