TMO to Step Up Campaign Against Defective Mufflers

Due to complaints from inconvenienced citizens, the Traffic Management Office (TMO) of Dumaguete City, headed by its chief Danny Atillo, will step up its campaign against motorcycles with defective mufflers, following orders from the city mayor.  Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has issued a directive to the TMO for more determination and persistence in the apprehension of such motorcycles to promote peace and order, especially in this Christmas season, said City Information Officer Dems Rey Demecillo.

According to Demecillo, as of Monday, December 19, more than a hundred motorists have been apprehended since September 2015.  TMO records also showed that about P104,000 were collected for fines and penalties of such violation and other offenses that were additionally handed to the motorists.
