Gary Valenciano – Mr. Pure Energy in Dumaguete City
Edgardo Jose “Gary” Santiago Valenciano, also known as Gary V. and Mr. Pure Energy performed in front of the public last night, November 29, 2019. In celebration of the Christmas season and the holidays, the city government officials gave a free concert showcasing local talent and of course national talent.

During the Pasko sa Dumaguete with Gary V Concert last night, other local artists performed. These local artists include Tawag Ng Tanghalan finalist Windimie Yntong, saxophone player Jay Cyrus Villanueva, and the Silliman University Men’s Glee Club. The show was free of admission; therefore, hundreds of people came to the old city hall despite the pouring rain. Others remained in the safety of their homes, watching live through different social media.
The show started later than announced due to the rain and the slippery stage. However, once it started the people cheered and screamed to enjoy the show. If you missed the show, watch the video below:
Who is Gary Valenciano?
Gary Valenciano is a Filipino-Puerto Rican singer and actor best known for his Awit Awards for “Best Male Performer” which he won twelve times. He was born on August 6, 1964, in Manila.
He is currently part of ABS-CBN artists, having been a mainstay of the Sunday noontime musical variety show ASAP and the noontime, weekday singing contest segment of It’s Showtime. He is frequently tapped to sing theme songs for the network’s soap operas and in-house film arm, Star Cinema. Valenciano was given the ASAP Elite Platinum Circle Award several times for his achievements in the local music industry. In his 34 years in the music industry, he has been awarded multi-platinum recording awards for most of his full-length studio albums
