Police Woman passed Bar Exam

Darlene J Catacutan is a prime example for determination and hard work. With passing the bar exam as a lawyer she finished her long way of studies, which began way back in Tacloban City.

PO 3 Darlene Gabutan Jumuad-Catacutan was an elementary graduate at Rizal Central School in Tacloban City. She pursued her secondary education in Divine Word University of Tacloban City then transferred later on to University of Cebu, Cebu City wherein she graduated.

She took Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the Diaz College in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental and finished the course as a Dean’s Lister and a recipient of an award for Academic Excellence.

On September 1, 2005, she decided to enter the police service. She belonged to the PBRC Class 2005-Bagsik in which she had excelled in in her training. According to SPO1 Edilberto Euraoba III, she received an Award of Distinction being Number 3 in the entire class of 250 recruits.

Studies at NORSU as basement for Bar Exam

She then pursued her studies and took up Bachelor of Laws at the Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) main campus in Dumaguete City in 2007. She finished the course in 2011 and took the bar exam in November 2015. She officially became a lawyer last May 3, 2016, when the announcement was made.

Everyone, including Senior Supt. Harris Fama, acting director of the NORPPO was triumphant to have the first woman lawyer in the Negros Oriental PNP.
