July 2018 Events in Negros Oriental
Negros Oriental is filled with loads of event in the month of July. Despite the rain and the gloomy weather, locals find their way to be merry and celebrate their festivities. The highlights of this July Events are Fiesta sa Tanjay 2018, Sinulog Festival in Tanjay, Miss Tanjay 2018, Miss Bacong 2018 and the Wayboga Festival 2018 in Amlan.
Wayboga Festival 2018 in Amlan
The Wayboga Festival is an annual celebration that promotes a smoke-free municipality. The term “way boga” translates the dialect as “no smoke”. This year, Amlan will be celebrating its 9th Smoke-Free Anniversary with a one-day event. (View Wayboga Festival 2018 Schedule here)
Tanjay Fiesta 2018
The Tanjay Fiesta 2018 will commemorate starting on the 1st day of July till the 30th of July, 2018. During the month-long celebration, the highlight events of Miss Tanjay 2018 and the Sinulog sa Tanjay Festival 2018 will be held. Miss Bacong 2018
In celebration of Leon Kilat’s 145ths Birthday, Bacong will be celebrating a week with the highlight event of Miss Bacong 2018. Leon Kilat is known for his heroic deeds and leadership during the revolution against Spain. Bacong, being his birthplace, will be celebrating his birthday with pride and cheer.
117 th Silliman Founder’s Day 2018 this August
Another year has passed and it is time to celebrate the 117th Founder’s Day 2018 of Silliman University. Although there are only tentative schedules for the Silliman Founder’s celebration, here are some of the tentative events that are noteworthy.
