Governor Degamo – Back in Office Again
Governor Degamo (right most) is back in his office at the Capitol Building, ready to serve once more. Yesterday marks the end of his 90 days suspension in office and supporters have decided to pay him a visit.
Degamo’s Return
The Negros Oriental government was released from his suspension which was dated for October 2017 until January 2018. Yesterday January 17,2017, hundreds of supporters and officials welcomed Roel Ragay Degamo and his return at the Capitol Building around eight in the morning. Upon reaching his office, respective officials and employees welcomed him. And in the afternoon, he was then again visited by another group of his supporters and officials.
10 Million still missing?
The 90 days (30 months) suspension was given tot Roel Ragay Demago because of the aligned PHP 10 Million intelligence fund that was spent for other reasons; breaking the anti- corruption law. This case have been filed against Degamo since 2016 but was only served a year later due to other cases made by June Vincent Gaudan (the person who filed against Degamo).
The amount of PHP 10 Million was demanded back by the COA to replace the said “corrupt money” by Degamo
Vice Governor Doc Mark – Back in Action as Well
As for Edward Mark Macias, aka Doc Mark, he will be returning to his previews position serving as the Vice-Governor of Negros Oriental. He had recently signed the memorandum from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Witnesses of the signing included: Negros Oriental DILG Officer Dennis Quiñones and PD Police Senior Supt. Portento.
