Cruise Ship Docks in Boracay Resort Island

Boracay Island, a world-famous resort island in Aklan, Philippines, welcomed the passengers and crew members of the first cruise ship for the year with the arrival of MS Seabourn Sojourn.  The cruise ship, its third trip to the island, docked at Cagban Port at 10 a.m., Saturday, and stayed there for about eight hours before leaving to sail to Manila and Palawan and on to its final destination at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.  It was at Hundred Islands in Pangasinan prior to Boracay.

MS Seabourn Sojourn carried more than 400 passengers from Europe and the US and has more than 300 crew members.  They were welcomed by employees of the Department of Tourism – Boracay and the local government as well as tour operators.  They were also treated with performances of the ati-atihan dancers and the rondalla.  They can choose whether to visit the different sites in the island, have an island-hopping tour or simply enjoy the white-sand beaches.
