Calendar of Activities for Barangay Election 2018 and SK 2018
The Calendar of Activities has confirmed that the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Commission of Election (COMELEC) are pushing through with this year’s Barangay Election 2018 and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Election 2018.
Barangay Election 2018 & SK Poll
The Barangay Election 2018 and (Sangguniang Kabataan )SK Elections 2018 will have its filling up of the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) starting on April 14, 2018 to April 20, 2018. Campaigning period, on the other hand, will be on May 2 – 12, 2018. After years of being postpones, many hopes that this will be the final and actual Barangay Elections.
COMELEC Spokesperson, James Jimenez, have assured that the ballots are ready as they will be using the same ones originally printed for the October 2017 slate. The counting of the votes will be done manually due to the smaller number of votes unlike the Presidential Elections. This year’s SK and Barangay Election’s budget has totaled up to PHP 6 Billion. The Election Day is set for May 14, 2018.
