SINATO elects new set of officers
During its regular meeting at the Provincial Tourism Office, the Sidlakang Negros Association of Tourism Officers (SINATO) elected its new set of officers . SINATO was organized in 2005 and is composed of tourism officers, tourism assistants, tourism coordinators, SP / SB Chairpersons of the Committee on Tourism of the 25 LGUs of Negros Oriental, said Myla Mae Bromo – Abellana, Senior Tourism Operations Officer.
Ms. Jacqueline Veloso – Antonio, Dumaguete City Tourism Officer, was elected president and will lead this very dynamic group of individuals in the next three (3) years. The Vice President is Mr. John-John Alabata, Amlan Tourism Officer while Mr. Albert Tubal, Valencia Tourism Officer, was elected Secretary. The Treasurer is Mr. Leo Estrellado of San Jose while Mr. Wilfredo Calumpang of Tanjay City is the Auditor. A P.R.O. was elected for each district: Ms. Isabel Ann Clerigo, Canlaon City Tourism Officer for the 1st district, Mr. Andy Guevarra, Bais City Tourism Officer for the 2nd district and Mr. Leo Paul Banlat of Zamboanguita, for the 3rd district.
The new SINATO officers and members are very optimistic with the new direction that they will be taking and knowing their role in the tourism industry, they pledge to work harder in enhancing industry growth in the province, Abellana said.
