No RT-PCR Test for Fully Vaccinated Travelers in the Philippines
Starting May 30, 2022, fully vaccinated travelers can enter the Philippines with no RT-PCR test required. This was made possible through the IATF Resolution 168, signed May 26, 2022. Aside from that, travelers entering the Philippines no longer need to secure travel insurance, however, it is highly encouraged.
Foreign Travelers – Who can Enter?
Travelers may enter the Philippines with no test required if they are foreign nationals who are 18 years old and above and have received primary series of COVID-19 vaccine, and at least one COVID-19 booster shot. Foreign nationals aged 12-17 years old who are “fully vaccinated” as defined in Section A(2)(a) of the same resolution may enter without RT-PCR test result as well. Meanwhile, foreign nationals who are 12 years old and below, regardless of their vaccination status can enter as well, provided that they’re accompanied by their parents or guardians who follow the statement above.
Requirements:
Travelers must carry/possess proof of COVID-19 vaccination, which shall be presented prior to departing/boarding from the country of origin/port of embarkation and upon arrival in the country. The following are acceptable proof of COVID-I9 vaccination:
- World Health Organization International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis;
- VaxCertPli
- National or state manual/digital vaccination certificate of the country/foreign government
- Other proof of vaccination permitted by the IATF
