In the celebration of one of the grandest international trade exhibit, a food processing enterprise from Negros Occidental was able to win this year’s beverage category as best new product. The celebration of the International Food Exposition (Ifex), held at Pasay City on May 19, has granted Muy Bien Ventures Co. Inc. and their turmeric tea with calamansi the 2017 Katha Award during the said event.

During the three-day event of the Ifex, The Organic Lola’s Finest Ventures Inc. and Muy Bein were able to beat other products from the thousands of participating enterprises. The International Food Exposition was filled with over a thousand food companies and enterprises from all over the Philippines and some other neighboring countries. Nineteen (19) of these enterprises came from the Negros Island Region (NIR) ; 17 from Negros Occidental and 2 from Negros Oriental.
With the harmony of government agencies, local government units, and other private sectors, The Organic Lola’s Finest Ventures were well attained during the event. Joyce Wendam, the regional director of Department of Agriculture-Negros Island Region (DA-NIR) said that the award as the best new product under beverage has brought another milestone for NIR especially in Negros Occidental which has huge potential in terms of agri-business.
Having attained the best new product, The Organic Lola’s Finest Ventures Inc. will be awarded today (May 23, 2017) with the privileges of free one page advertising on the Ifex Philippines directory, a trophy cup, publicity and a free nine-square meter booth for the Ifex event next year.
