FIFA World Cup 2018 – Schedule
The 21st FIFA World Cup 2018 opening ceremony was held hours ago (afternoon in Russia and late evening in the Philippines) at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia. The opening ceremony was made by U.K. pop singer Robbie Williams. First match of Russia against Saudi Arabia with a score of 5-0.
FIFA World Cup
FIFA World Cup is a quadrennial international football tournament for men. FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) is one of the biggest international events held second to the Olympics. The last FIFA World Cup was held in was held in Brazil in 2014 where thousands of people watched personally and digitally through live streaming.
Opening & Firs Match
Robbie Williams is 44 years old singer and songwriter who had the privilege of doing the opening ceremony of the 21st FIFA World Cup in Russia. After a few words from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the show began no second later. During the show however, a lot of people are gossiping of the singer showing his middle finger to the camera directly while performing.
Despite the misunderstood gesture of the singer, the crowd still went wild as they were filled with excitement for the actual game. The first match was Russia against Saudi Arabia. The Russian football team hammered the Saudi Arabian soccer team with a score of 5 – 0. And that is it for the opening first match for this World Cup 2018.
