Environmental Quiz Bee in Negros Oriental
About 50 schools in Negros Island will be joining in this year’s environmental quiz bee given by the Energy Development Corporation (EDC) dubbed as “Positive Energy Battle of the Brains Junior and Senior High”. Deadline for submission of participation will be today, August 3, 2018.

Every year the Energy Development Corporation holds the Battle of the Brain and Environmental Quiz Bee open for all students in Negros Island. EDC is the largest geothermal power producer in the Philippines.
With the main goal of bringing awareness to society, the Energy Development Corporation challenges the youth in the yearly Environmental Quiz Bee where hundreds of students from both Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental will be participating in the battle of the brains. The Energy Development Corporation is urging schools in Negros Island to beat the deadline at 11:59 p.m. today for the submission of participation.
The main objective of the event is really to spread awareness on the importance of renewable energy and fighting climate change because it is important for our future generations to know this and to know that they can do something,” said Frances Ariola.
Each school must send two representatives in which one will participate in the junior high category and the other for the senior high category of the competition. After the first elimination round for the Negros Island competition, two winning schools will be set as the qualified contestant for the grand finals which will be held in Foundation University in Dumaguete City this coming September 14, 2018.
