Beach Volleyball Tournament in Bago City

Bago City in Negros Occidental will be celebrating a Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament this coming June 24 (tomorrow!) at the Bantayan Park. Headed by Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo and Vice Mayor Ramon Torres, the event aims in bringing and molding characters in each individual to become a better person and player.

Harmonized with the celebration of the Feast of St. John the Baptist of Bago City, the beach volleyball tournament will be played by eight teams. Namely: Beach Volleyball Republic, two teams from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Colegio San Agustin, the National Irrigation Administration (Iloilo), Foundation University (Dumaguete City), Silay City, and Central Philippine University (Iloilo).

Eyes on the Prize

All participants of the beach volleyball tournament will not be going home with empty pockets after the games. The champion of the tournament would receive a trophy and a cash prize worth of Php 10, 000 while the first runner up will receive a cash price of Php 7, 000. Second runner up will receive Php 5, 000; Third runner up, Php 3, 000; and the rest will have a consolation prize worth Php 1,200.




Regardless of the money, the beach volleyball tournament really aims in bringing people together to build harmony, sportsmanship, strength, characteristic in each and every individual. Go! Go! Go!
