Buglasan Festival 2018 Security Preparations
In a few days, Buglasan Festival 2018 will be celebrated in Negros Oriental. One of the essential ingredients in making the festivity a success are safety and preparedness. The different organizers and Buglasan Festival committee has already prepared the security measures for the Buglasan Festival 2018 with around 1, 200 uniformed personnel and force multipliers.

The estimated 1,200 “uniformed” personnel will be deployed in strategic areas around the city on October 13 to October 24 to provide security during the celebration of Buglasan Festival.
Provincial Joint Task Force on Security “Leon Kilat” Executive Director Bimbo Miraflor said this is part of the blueprint of security which they will implement on the start of the 10-day festivity. Buglasan Festival, dubbed as “Festival of Festivals,” is Negros Oriental’s grandest annual cultural festivity. It gathers all local government units in the province to showcase their artistry, culture, and also promote their top attractions to the public.
Activities are held in Dumaguete City, the capital city of the province.

Miraflor cited that law enforcement officers will be assigned in major places of engagement namely Capitol Area, Robinsons Place Dumaguete, Sidlakan Negros Village, and Hypermart area in Barangay Bagacay.
Each site will have a site commander who will supervise the security operations. Aside from this, Miraflor also added the Provincial Task Force on Joint Security will operate a command center at the Visionaire’s Lounge in the Capitol Area to monitor the situation during Buglasan.
