Miss SCUBA Philippines 2016 Officially Launched

 

Miss Scuba Philippines 2016 was officially launched on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Belmont Hotel in Pasay City. Christine Paula Love Bernasor, National Director, presided the media launch, along with Miss Scuba International 2015 winner Cindy Pacia Madduma and Mr. Charles Lim (PR and Marketing Head) who flew all the way from Cebu that day. Also present was Mr. Lorenzo Tang, GM of Belmont Hotel.

If you are a well-rounded woman who is passionate about scuba diving and our oceans,then you could be the next Miss Scuba Philippines. Miss Scuba which started in 2011 has been an advocate of safe diving and marine conservation.

The Miss Scuba pageant is unique to other beauty pageants.To be a candidate, one must be at least a licensed open water scuba diver, and unlike other pageants, Miss Scuba Philippines is open to ladies until the age of 28.

The Philippines being an archipelago with world class marine sanctuaries, marine conservation has remained to be a challenge.

We protect what we love. Anyone who loves the ocean should protect it,” says Christine Paula Love Bernasor, National Director for the Philippines and 1st runner up Miss Scuba International 2013.

The search is on for the next Miss Scuba Philippines. Screening will be held in key dive destinations like Cebu, Bohol, Davao, Subic, Batangas and Manila. If you have the desire for marine conservation and scuba diving, you could be the one to represent the Philippines to the Miss Scuba International competition which will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on November 19, 2016.

Aspiring candidates must be single, female by birth, a citizen or permanent resident of the Philippines, aged between 18-28 years old during the international competition, of good moral character, and at least 5’4″ high(without heels). She must also be fluent in English, of good health and, most importantly, a certified diver (at least Open Water level).
