Pacquiao’s end of the deal
Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao or commonly known as just Manny Pacquiao is the running senate for the 2016 election. He broke some media sites, especially in the Philippines due to his comment on gay marriage.
He quoted:” it’s common sense. Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals.”
Having said this, many people have disapproved this comment. One of Manny Pacquiao’s contracts was terminated due to the “offensive” statement he said.
The end of the deal
According to Twitter, last Thursday by Darren Rovell that Nike has terminated its contract with Manny Pacquiao due to recent his comment (stated above).
“We find Manny Pacquiao’s comment abhorrent. Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for rights of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community.
We have no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao”, Nike stated.
After reading this, professional boxer Manny Pacquiao said that he “respects” Nike’s decision and is very sorry for his comment.
“I’m not really bothered by the controversy. I’m happier because I am telling the truth,” Pacquiao said. “It is worse if we hide the truth; I am happier because a lot of people were alarmed by the truth,” he said as he explains his side.
With some bashers and haters on the move, this running senate is not as safe and as heroic as he was when he was a boxer.
