Negros Born Chand Tubio wins K1 Workd Title

 Chand Tubio, a 30-year old fighter from Siation, Negros Oriental won the 147-pound K1 title of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations in Illinois, defeating Nam Ho in the second round.  According to his mother, Mildred Tubio, Chand went to Illinois to finish his business and accounting courses.

Chand has been into sports, said his grandmother, Fidela, being a member of the rugby and basketball teams when he was still a student in Dumaguete. Sumaliring Barangay Captain Moises Ebrole said that a hero’s welcome awaits Chand on his return.
