SLS Don Bosco Dumaguete – Gains Ground in NBTC
Saint Louis School Don Bosco Dumaguete, along with Bacolod Tay Tung High School, gained grounds in separate rivals last Sunday during the National Finals seeding round on the SM-National Basketball Training Center League (NBTC) at the One E-Com Center of Pasay City.
National Basketball Training Center – NTBC
The National Basketball Training Center or NBTC is a high school league that caters school-based teams in the different provinces of the Philippines. Their main mission and vision are “Developing SKILLS…Building CHARACTERS…Raising LEADERS!” The basketball training center was founded way back in 2007.
Don Bosco Dumaguete V.S. Jesus Loving Shepherd Naga
Two basketball players of Saint Louis School Don Bosco Dumaguete, Ivan Lazarte and Karl Dave, scored 13 points each after a 10-points down to beat Jesus Loving Shepherd of Naga with a score of 71-69. Both the basketball stars are in their senior high school years studying in their grade 11.
Other Rising Basketball Stars in NTBC
Other rising basketball stars includes James Barrera finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Ryan Cruz added 19 points as Bacolod Tay Tung overcame University of Luzon Dagupan, 87-62. Julius Garcia and Dither Ferriols had 19 points each while Aerone Santos chopped in 18 points and 12 rebounds to lift Letran-Bataan to a 76-49 win over St. Columbine College Pagadian, 76-49. Letran-Bataan, meanwhile, claimed the No. 27 spot and will go up against No. 6 Mapua, as No. 30 St. Columban College arranged a first round encounter with No. 3 Chiang Kai Shek College.
Tay Tung secured the No. 28 seed and will take on No. 5 National University in the first round of the knockout tournament while University of Luzon fell to No. 29 and will face fourth-seed University of Visayas.
