Sinulog sa Jimalalud Festival 2016

One of the municipalities in Negros Oriental will be celebrating their city fiesta this week. Speaking of which, the municipality of Jimalalud will be celebrating their Sinulog sa Jimalalud Festival inordinate of their city fiesta from January 8, 2015 up to January 15, 2015.

Sinulog sa Jimalalud Festival

The Sinulog sa Jimalalud Festival, more commonly known as the Hambabalud Festival, is an annual celebration in Jimalalud. With Latin-American drum beats, the rhythmic celebration of this festival is made known to all over Negros Oriental. Organizers claimed that it was originally named as Sinulog sa Jimalalud, but locals and guest preferred to call it as the Hambabalud Festival for traditional and cultural reasons.

Highlights of the Sinulog sa Jimalalud

The celebration is officially started on the January 8 with a small basketball tournament at the JRVTI Sport & Cultural Center. However, highlight of these events such as the Sinulog sa Jimalalud Festival Street dancing and the Sinulog sa Jimalalud showdown are both celebrated on the Wednesday of January 13.

Another highlight of this city fiesta is the search of the new Miss Jimalalud, which will be held at the JRVTI Sports & Cultural Center on the 14th of January. This coronation pageant will start at 8:00 p.m.

One of the new trending events celebrated in the city fiesta is the Neon Glow Paint Party. This evening event will be held again at the JRVTI Sports and Cultural Center around 8:00 p.m. on January 15. This event will of course have a small and affordable entrance fee for anyone who wishes to join the party.
