PHCCI Member from Negros Oriental wins CDA Award

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) recently gave the coveted Gawad Parangal awards to two members of the Perpetual Help Community Cooperative (PHCCI) in Negros Oriental.  Awarded were former general manager Edilberto Lantaca, Jr., now board emeritus, as Most Outstanding Cooperative Leader on Community Development and Gerarda Amigo-Teves as Most Outstanding Oldest Living Cooperative Member in the Philippines.  The awarding ceremony was held Wednesday at a hotel in Makati City and both awardees were there with the Boards of Directors of PHCCI.

Lantaca recently won as the 2016 Most Outstanding Cooperative Leader in the Visayas, qualifying him for the national awards.  Other cooperative members extended their greetings saying that he was active in the education of their respective cooperatives.

PHCCI operations manager Cliffordson Lariosa attributes the successes of the cooperative to Our Mother of Perpetual Help for the guidance and protection in its operations for more than 40 years now.
