One Negros Encounter in John
Don Bosco schools of Central Visayas will be celebrating first ever One Negros Encounter in John. These participating Don Bosco schools include: Saint Louise School Don Bosco (Dumaguete City), Don Bosco Technical Institute (Victoria’s City) and St. John’s Institution (Bacolod).
These schools will all be gathered in the gymnasium of Don Bosco Victoria’s in Cebu City by early morning of January 8 to celebrate the said event. This athletic culmination is based on promoting the first ever Central Visayas Don Bosco Sports Play Culmination.
One Negros Encounter in John
According to Bro. Louie Domasian, school administrator of Saint Louis School Don-Bosco, this One Negros Encounter in John athletic celebration was to promote the four core values of every Bosconian; God-centeredness, Family Spirit, Commitment to Excellence, and Social Responsibility.
Series of games includes sports such as the volleyball, basketball, soccer, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis and chess. The total representatives of students and pupils of this event are estimated to 300-400 pupils and students (130-Dumaguete City, 130-Bacolod City, and another 130-Victoria’s Cebu).
50th anniversary
This is a two day celebration is also in coordinate to the 50th founders day anniversary celebration of the school’s founder, Saint John Bosco, this 2017. Saint John Bosco is known throughout the world as the father and teacher of youth.
With the motto: “Da mihi animas, caetera tolle (which means give me souls take away the rest)”, the said celebration is an enhancement for the body, spirit and heart of every athlete joining the said event. This event also helps every Bosconian from all over the country to meet with their other brothers and sisters.
