Negros Oriental Extends ECQ until April 30, 2020
The Provincial Government of Negros Oriental Extends ECQ until April 30, 2020 though an announced yesterday April 16, 2020. Executive Order No. 28 Series of 2020 states that the extension of ECQ will be from April 18, 2020 until April 30, 2020.
Luzon Extends ECQ – Negros Oriental Extends too!
After more than a week, Negros Oriental has followed the extension of ECQ just like in Luzon. Duterte announced the extended the quarantine in Luzon last April 7, 2020. Yesterday, the official Provincial Facebook page of Negros Oriental government announced their new Executive Order (EO) that will be implemented from April 18, 2020 12:01 am until April 30, 2020 11:59 pm unless sooner lifted or withdrawn.
Under Section 1 of the Negros Oriental EO 28 Serie of 2020, the same rules and regulations stated in Executive Order 26 Series of 2020, dated March 31, 2020 placing the entire Province of Negros Oriental under Enhanced Community Quarantine hereby applies during the said extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Included in the Executive Order 28-2020 is the ban of drinking liquor in public places. The Mayors, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines are enjoined to enforce and implement this Executive Order and all pertinent rules and regulations relative to the observance of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Section 2 of the Negros Oriental EO 28 Serie of 2020 states that the Provincial Government has allotted two million pesos each, for all cities and municipalities pursuant to Appropriation Ordinance 2 Series of 2020. All recipient LGUs of the said funding are hereby enjoined to immediately utilize said funds, upon receipt thereof, during the period while the entire province is placed under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ.).
