Negrense Trade Fair 2018
The Negrense Trade Fair is considered as one of the events that spread the produce of locals coming from the Negros to the rest of the country and hopefully the world. This year’s figure is about 24 percent higher compared to last year’s PHP 25.6 million earning. Christina Gaston, president of Association of Negros Producers, said the trade fair is a testament to what Negrenses can achieve if they work together towards one vision.
Months of hard work by everyone involved have paid off. Blessings such as this continue to encourage us to do our share in promoting what Negros has to offer,” said Christina Gaston.
The overall top grosser is the Negros Oriental Arts and Heritage based in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. This was followed by the NVC Foundation Inc., Inasalan sa Dalan, Casa Carmela, Virgie’s Home Made, Ereñeta-Manaloto Chorizo, Felicia’s, El Ideal Bakery, Kusina Jamora, and Art Energy.
Those under the food sector posted the highest sales of PHP 12.57 million, an increase of 37 percent from last year’s PHP 9.19 million.
Earnings of others sectors are as follows: gifts, decor and houseware sector, PHP9.39 million; home furnishing and furniture, PHP4.38 million; fashion, PHP 3.33 million; natural and organic, PHP 1.45 million; and tourism, PHP 718,223.
