Medical Mission – Free Cleft Surgery in Dumaguete City
A 100% free surgery for cleft lip and cleft palate for both children and adult will be made from May 02 – 06, 2018 at the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital. The surgery is supported by Governor Roel Degamo and the Rotary Club of Dumaguete, South. This will be the 44th mission free surgery the Medical Mission Matters Philippine Group and Smile Train that will be conducting.

Free Cleft Surgery
In the Visayas Region, the Medical Mission Matters has conducted over 43 missions and 2,700+ safe free surgeries over the past three years. Their work made them number 1 of all the Outreach Surgical Missions in the Philippines. The non-profit group has grown to have more than 2,100 organizations in 85 countries around the world. They made about 6,300 FREE cleft surgery in the Philippines alone.
Changing the World One Smile at a Time
The Smile Train is a group who will be working along side the Medical Mission Matters in “Changing the World One Smile at a Time”. The medical team of the free cleft surgery this May 02-06, 2018 will be composed of 9-12 full time Filipino OR (operating room) and ward nurses. The medical team are highly trained and have made about 654 safe and successful surgeries in Negros Island alone!
