With the upcoming 2016 election, people find it hard to believe and accept that their fate lays among the hands of these running government officials. Even with the election six months away, interviews and promotions have slowly crawled their way to the newspapers and some radio stations nation-wide.
Here in Negros Oriental, borders have been set to three different and unique districts. The first, second and third district comprises Negros Oriental. The first district includes the city and municipality of Canlaon, Vallehermoso, Guihulngan, La Libertad, Jimalalud, Tayasan, Ayungon, Bindoy, and Manjuyod.
Here are some of the possible candidates for this 2016 election:
First District Representative:
- Limkaichong, Jocelyn Sy
- Paras, Jacinto Villegas “Jing Paras”
- Roble, Danilo Casipong
First District Board Member:
- Baldado, Amor Anfone
- Dy, Lorenzo Chiu “Boy Dy”
- Gumba, Rizaldy Naldo
- Martinez, Georgita Fabugais.
- Reyes, Jaime Locson “Jake Reyes”
- Tuanda, Reynaldo Jr. Cordova “Toots Tuanda”
- Villanueva-Koppin, Jessica Jane Justiniani “Ikay Villanueva”
- Villegas, Napoleon Jr. Escalona “Butching Villegas”
It truly takes a great responsibility to take charge of the first district, with nine different and unique municipalities. It would take a lot of courage and thinking over to pick wisely of who you will choose during the election. Even if the decisions are up to the voters, it is never too early to get an early kick in with the campaigning. With all the great future plans these very responsible candidates have, they can create a better and enjoyable place to live here in Negros Oriental. It is only the matter of time until the election comes.
