Fake News on Social Network
The officials head have stressed out to the public regarding the fake news spreading on the social network. Regardless of the said terror threat in the Negros Island Region, the Joint Task Force (JTF) Leon Kilat said to the public to stay calm and stop false spreading of gossips in social media for it will only make things worse.

Super Headed by Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo, the JTF is an organization composed of civilian authority and law enforcement groups such as the Philippine Nation Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). It is tasked to optimize security and qualified information to the public here in Negros Oriental.
“… through the Joint Task Force on Security, … the Maritime Joint Task Group Deter of the AFP composed of units from the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office and the Coast Guard Station-Dumaguete, with the help of other civilian government agencies, is doing our best efforts to give you the most reliable information and to assure you that we are on guard 24/7 for the preservation of our peace and the safety and security of our people.” said Bimbo Miraflor executive director of JTF Leon Kilat.
Threats on fake news on the internet
Alerts on Shipping lines were advised by Maritime Group in Dapitan and in Dipolog regarding at least seven motor vehicles that were carrying improvised explosive devices (IEDs). This report was set out through different social media and even in text messages as well. Bimbo Miraflor said that the spreading of qualified information in social network is “highly disturbing and unnecessary”.
