Christian School Quiz Bowl

The annual Christian School Quiz Bowl was held in ordinance of the 49th Founder’s celebration of St. Louis School Don Bosco, which also hosted the competition. The quiz bowl was held today, January 28 at nine in the morning.

The Christian School Quiz Bowl is a competition on religious question both found and not found in the bible. For this year’s Christian Quiz Bowl Competition, six different schools were represented to join I the competition. Each school brought three of their best to compete in the said event.

There are three parts of the competition. There is the easy, medium and difficult part. Each correct answer in the easy round will get 1 point for every correct answer, while 2 points will be given during the medium round. The difficult round will be giving 3 points for every correct answer to the group contestants.

Holy Cross School has lead during the easy round, but was taken aback during the medium round by the San Pedro contestants. During the final tallying of the scores, both Holy Cross and San Pedro ranked the highest scores. In order to break the tie a set of “tie breaker” questions were asked to both Holy Cross and San Pedro.

At the end of the “tie breaker” questions, Holy Cross has successfully won over the San Pedro contestants by one point. Ranking as the winner, Holy Cross was presented with a certificate of participation and a trophy/ plague. The 1st runner up of the Christian school Quiz Bowl is San Pedro followed by Dumaguete City High school, who garnered 2nd runner up.
