Board Member Alviola to Run for Dumaguete Mayor this 2022 Elections, Ablong for Vice-Mayor

Negros Oriental Second District Board Member Estanislao Alviola (left) has officially declared his intent to run for Dumaguete City Mayor in the 2022 Elections. As for his running mate, former Vice Mayor William Ablong (right) is also launching a bid to return to his old office. Ablong served as the City Vice-Mayor from 2001 to 2007.

#Kasaligan for 2022 Elections

There are twelve candidates seeking the position as city councilors under the formed “Kasaligan” opposition ticket. This was launched today, September 28, 2021. Seeking a post in the City Council in 2022 are:

  • Councilor Joe Kenneth Arbas
  • Councilor Bernice Anne Elmaco
  • Councilor Rosel Margarette Erames
  • Councilor Agustin Miguel Perdices
  • Board Member Jose “Petit” Baldado
  • Piapi kagawad Marife Cordova, wife of the late Vice Mayor Alan Gel Cordova
  • Junob kagawad Coly Vismanos
  • Former councilor JV Imbo
  • Former councilor Tony Rems Remollo
  • Former councilor Dan-Dan Leon

During today’s launching, Former Congressman George Arnaiz and Former Board Member Romel Erames showed support to the potential Mayor and Vice-Mayor candidates.
