Barangay Captain Oath Taking in Cebu
A few weeks ago, the different newly elected barangay captains were gathered in Hoopsdome in Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City. There were 3,000 who were sworn in front of the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte during the oath-taking ceremony.
Kung barangay captain ka and you act in the performance of your duty, back-upan tika. You will never go to jail,” President Duterte said. (If you are a barangay captain and you act in the performance of your duty, I will back you up. You will never go to jail.)
Magtinabangay lang ta. You have to control drugs,” he added. (We must help each other. You have to control drugs)
All the officials from the different barangays around the Philippines will be active starting this July 1, 2018.
