Senator Grace Poe is feeling ‘happy’

Senator Grace Poe says she is ‘happy’ that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte can run for presidency during the 2016 election.  Even if the Comelec has not yet decided for her appeal, Grace Poe said she was ‘happy’ that the Mayor of Davao City is allowed to run as a president.

“Masaya ako natanggap and kanyang COC dahil marmi siyang taga-suporta at maraming naniniiwala na dapat mabigyan (siya) ng pagkakataon,” Poe said.

(I am happy that his COC was accepted because I know that he has a lot of supporters and that many believe that he deserves a chance.)

The Certificate of Competency (COC) of Duterte was declined on Thursday by the Comelec and seceded to pass it to the original COC of Martin Diño, the candidate wherein Mayor Duterte substituted for.

For her part, Grace Poe reiterated the need to hear the people’s voice about the long-time mantra of her camp amid all disqualification case filed against her.

“Palagi ko naman posisyon dapat pahalagahan ang tinig ng taong bayan. Para sa akin, kung malinis naman ang intensyon, bigyan ng pagkakataon,” Grace Poe said.

(I’ve always said that the voice of the people should be given importance. For me, as long as the intension is pure, then the person should be given the chance to run.)

Grace Poe celebrating Christmas

As Christmas draws closer, Grace Poe said the celebration will still be the same with her family. She also mentioned that she would have a ‘peaceful life’ if her name was not in the 2016 ballot.

“Ganun pa rin, kasama ng pamilya. Sabi ko nga madali naman tanggapin para sa aking sarili pero patuloy pa rin ang ating laban. Marami nagtatanong ‘Senator, na-DQ (disqualify) na ba kayo?’ Hindi pa po. Hindi pa po pinal ang proseso basta ipaglalaban natin at malakas ang basehan natin dito,” she said.

(Still the same, with my family. As I said, it’s easy for me to accept whatever the outcome will be but we will continue our fight. Many people ask me, ‘Senator, are you already disqualified?’ Not yet. The process is still not over. I will continue the fight because all our evidence is strong.)
