Candidate for vice-president visits Negros Oriental
A candidate of the ruling Liberal Party for vice president, Camarines Sur Rep. Maria Leonor Robredo, for the 2016 election visited the province of Negros Oriental and of Siquijor on a Friday of December 4. The purpose of her visit was to indulge and participate in various activities and to meet her supporters. It may also appear that this is the start of her campaigning.
Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo
Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo is a Filipino politician, congresswoman and chairperson. She represents the third district of Camarines Sur, located in the Bicol Region of Luzon. She is also one of the candidates running for the position of vice-president for the 2016 election
During her visit
During the visit of Leni Robredo she along with the other government officials held a press conference at the residence of Atty. Felipe Antonio Remollo, who is hopefully making a comeback for the position as city mayor this 2016.
According to Leni, the administration’s Daang Matuwid or Straight Path has achieved its purpose over the past few years. However, there were still improvements and enhancements to be taken care of especially in the lower levels of society.
Lena Robredo explained that she would like to push the inclusive growth, equal opportunities and putting premium on not only in urban areas but in rural areas as well. She also mentioned that she would not leave anyone behind.
Leni was of course not alone during her visit here in Negros Oriental. Along with her were Senator Paulo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV and former Department Justice Sec. Leila De Lima.
