67th Charter Day of Dumaguete City

The 67th celebration of Dumaguete City is associated with the celebration of Sandurot Festival. The 67th Charter Day of Dumaguete City or the City fiesta is celebrated yearly to give thanks and honor to the birth of The City of Gentle People.

One of the highlights of Dumaguete City’s charter day is of course the street dancing parade of Sandurot Festival, where one can enjoy the festivity of the city. Another highlight of this event includes the search for the new Miss Dumaguete., which was held two days ago at the Macias Convention Center.

The Miss Dumaguete 2015 pageant was of course another night where mesmerizing young ladies compete as they win the Ms. Dumaguete City 2015 title and crown. With corporation to the pageant, civic parades were also held yesterday around the city to parade the new Ms. Dumaguete City 2015.

The Charter Day of Dumaguete City is celebrated through different events such as the Folk Dance Competition, Air soft Tournament, and Variety Shows. All these activities were carefully planned and organized through-out the week starting from November 20 until November 29 by the Tourism office headed by Mr. Woodrow Maquiling Jr.

Today, November 29, is the Town Fiesta of Dumaguete city, the City of Gentle People. As the last day of town fiesta slowly end, the people of Dumaguete will end the celebration with a long yet worth it activity from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm for the Kasalang Filipino Dumaguete Leg at Robinsons Place Dumaguete and a Film Festival at 6:00 p.m. at Foundation University Campus.
